About

Hello! My name is Fionn. It’s pronounced “Finn”, but my mom loves anything Celtic and Fionn means “white, fair and handsome” in Gaelic.  People say I’m handsome so I guess it fits! I am a 7 year old Golden Retriever. My mom rescued me from Homeward Bound Golden Retriever rescue in Sacramento, Ca. in 2015. I was surrendered to the Fresno SPCA when I was 6 when my owner died. I had a benign mass on my back and they knew Homeward Bound would fix me and adopt me and they did! My mom had just lost her 3rd golden retriever to cancer and I came along just in time to make her happy again! About a year later, my right front leg started hurting. Everyone thought I hurt my shoulder jumping out of the truck, but x rays showed I had a mass in my shoulder bone. This is the start of my journey to make it so I get to spend more time with my mom and take more trips to the barn to visit our horse. I hope you learn something from my experiences! Here’s me right after I was adopted:img_2240
